Center for Educational Equity, Teachers College, Columbia University.

The Center for Educational Equity (formerly the Campaign for Educational Equity) is a nonprofit policy and research center based at Teachers College, Columbia University.

CEE champions children’s right to a meaningful opportunity to graduate from high school prepared for college, careers, and civic participation. We work to define and secure the full range of resources, supports, and services necessary to guarantee this right to all children, particularly children in poverty and children of color.

Founded in 2005 by educational law scholar Michael A. Rebell, who successfully litigated the landmark school-funding lawsuit, CFE v. State of New York, CEE pursues systems change through a dynamic, interrelated program of research, legal analysis, policy development, public engagement, coalition building, and advocacy to advance this agenda at the federal, state, and local levels.
