I am an education policy researcher, whose work is oriented towards understanding the effects of market-oriented reforms on public education policymaking and practice. I completed my Ph.D. at the Boston College Lynch School of Education in 2015. My previous research has looked at the rise of well-funded advocacy organizations and their impact on democratic engagement in public education policymaking. See recent publications in the Journal of Education Policy, Critical Studies in Education, and the Berkeley Review of Education.
This blog is an exploration of school segregation today. I use each post to publicly explore/develop my understanding of its causes and potential solutions.
