In light of Secretary of Education DeVos and Attorney General Sessions’ withdrawal of the Guidance on the Voluntary Use of Race to Achieve Diversity and Avoid Racial Isolation in Elementary and Secondary Schools issued by the United States Department of Education and the United States Department of Justice in 2011, we have assembled a set of resources for districts and communities who wish to voluntarily consider race to further compelling interests in achieving diversity and avoiding racial isolation, consistent with existing law.
